Sam started in radio in his homestate of Vermont, working at WCFR in Springfield, and Rock 99, which turned to country station WOKO in Burlington. He came to join Cat Country 98.1 in the fall of 1998. In addition to being on the air and hosting the All You Can Request Lunch Bufffet, he’s also our music director. As if stardom as a Cat Country DJ isn’t enough, he has also brushed with fame, when he met Garth Brooks, and still hopes to meet one of the NY Yankees. When he’s not fishing, hunting, skiing, rollerblading, working out at the gym or target shooting, you can sometimes find Sam hanging out in Rhode Island on Narragansett Beach or out in the Bay tracking down bluefish and stripers.  Sam also enjoys riding his motorcycle around Southern New England- including to work when the weather cooperates.  True to how it sounds, the airstaff hangs out after work on many days, so it is like one big family at WCTK.  Sam’s expertise is fixing anything that breaks. His favorite quote is, “The more others mess up, the better you look.”
