After arriving in Nashville in 2005, Josh Thompson instantly began writing and quickly established himself as a country artist on the rise. He received his first major songwriter credit with a song called “Growing Up Is Getting Old” which is the title track of Jason Michael Carroll’s current album. Thompson’s blue collar lifestyle influences every song he has written, as he tells his stories with candor, honesty and a good-natured spirit. His debut single, “Beer On The Table,” is one of the most down-to-earth working man's anthems in years, a look at the dance between work and play, and the hard-won, easy-go nature of money that ties them together. 2011 saw Josh take home his first BMI award for his hit single, "Way Out Here". Make sure you catch Josh as he returns to rock the Showcase Live stage once again!

On Sunday, February 12th, 2012 Cat Country 98.1 WCTK will host its 4th annual “Snowball” at the Rhodes on the Pawtuxet in Warwick, RI. The semi-formal, listener appreciation concert will welcome 2,000 attendees and will feature LIVE entertainment by (3) National Country music artists including Casey James, Gloriana, and Joe Nichols! The Cat Country Elite Dance Troupe will also be performing. Appetizers and cash bar will be available, as well as a VIP Reception prior to the concert, a silent auction, and complimentary gift bags. All net proceeds will benefit the American Heart Association in support of its “Go Red for Women” campaign.
General admission tickets are only $17 each (with an additional $3 ticketing service fee). Since 2007 Bare Hill’s goal has been to have fun while rekindling an interest in the stylings and messages of the music from the ‘60s and ‘70s. Our song selection draws from artists of the ‘60s and ‘70s and contemporary musicians whose music sustains a similar vibe and feel.
