Cat Country 98.1 WCTK hosted its 6th Story Teller Concert on Sunday, April 20, 2008 at the Hawthorne Country Club in Dartmouth, MA. The intimate acoustic performance starred country artist, LeAnn Rimes. Cat Country awarded 100 listeners the opportunity to attend the exclusive event, where LeAnn performed live and answered questions posed by the audience.

In honor of LeAnn's work with the Nashville Humane Society, all proceeds and donations received at the concert benefited the Providence Animal Rescue League. Cat Country auctioned off a guitar, personally signed by LeAnn Rimes, which was awarded to a loyal listener and fan with the highest bid. LeAnn Rimes agreed to match the bid, totaling more than $1,100 in monetary contributions for the PARL. Guests also donated hundreds of animal-related items including dog/cat food, toys, bones, and a $50 Lowes gift card.

Cat Country Story Teller Concerts provide a unique opportunity for listeners to interact with their favorite country artists. The featured artists speak about the inspiration and stories behind his/her songs, and take questions from the audience. All proceeds from the concerts benefit a local charity or organization.
